What a busy time this season is! So much to accomplish. So much going on. At the first Christmas, Joseph and Mary certainly realized this as they packed up their belongings and made the trip from Nazareth to Bethlehem, only to find they had no place to stay. When you find yourself getting busy this season, take a moment to stop and consider what Mary and Joseph endured and how God blessed their faithfulness. Then, thank God for His faithfulness to you and take time to talk with your family about His great love.

A Few Additional Thoughts...
Christmas Program: Our school will be presenting Handel's Messiah on Thursday, December 10th, at 7:00 pm. Students are to meet in their classrooms at 6:30 pm wearing their Christmas best. People are also invited to join us for dress rehearsal at 1:00 pm that day, especially if they are unable to attend the evening performance.
Christmas Store: The GSLS Christmas Store will take place on December 10th or 11th. Christmas shopping lists and envelopes came home with your children and should be returned by Tuesday, December 8th. This is a great opportunity for children to purchase Christmas presents since items are very reasonably priced. Shopping, however, is not a requirement.
Library Inventory: Please help to make sure that your children return all of their library materials during the weeks of December 10th and 17th.
Advent Services: Join us for Advent worship services at 10:00 am on Wednesdays until Christmas, or come at 7:00 pm to participate in evening Advent services.
Chapel Offering: Chapel offerings from the second quarter benefit Mary's Room, a local organization that is dedicated to fostering the well being of infants and young children through facilitating the donation, collection and distribution of furniture, clothing, diapers and other basic supplies to families while assisting them to achieve economic independence. We are collecting money, diapers (size 4-5), and wipes to assist with this organization's efforts.
