The second and third grade class of 2013-2014
May God bless our new school year!
What a wonderful beginning to our new school year. We have spent the past week learning routines, getting acquainted with each other, and completing some assignments that give examples of skills at the start of this school year. It has been great getting to know my new class. I feel blessed to be working with such amazing kids, and I look forward to seeing what we will accomplish this year.
During this coming week, our class will be attempting to follow our regular schedule as closely as possible. Because we are still adjusting to routines, it will take all week to reach that goal.
Each week, I will update this blog with news about the coming week. Please take the time to read it, asking me about any questions you may have. This newsletter can also be a guide for conversations that you have with your children about school. I look forward to hearing from you and to working with you as we help grow your children, guiding them to be the people that God has created them to be.
A few additional notes...
No School Labor Day: Please remember that there will be no school this Monday, September 2nd, because it is Labor Day.
Scholastic Book Orders: Book orders went home Friday, August 30th. Please return book orders by Friday, September 6th. You may instead place book orders directly with Scholastic using their website. I love this option because it is less work for me!
